An impossible dream I vividly remember the time when i had that really big and impossible aspiration. I wanted to be an actor. Not like those actors who desire to stand up for all the Asian, just a small little humble actor who is able to touch the hearts of the audience through his convincing acting. It was so unrealistic... yet admittedly, this thought has always cross my mind - why haven't I actually pursued the route? I conveniently shifted the blame to that acute stage phobia (to face the audience), that lousy memory (to remember the script) and prata-shaped face (not photogenic) of mine. Truly it may just be due to the laziness and having zero guts (and confidence) to bring myself to act in front of others. I was a fervent viewer in Channel 8 dramas back in the past. I would make sure i sit right in front of that black box and watch the drama serials. I adore (not idolize, mind you) some actors namely Chew Chor Meng, Xie Shaoguang, Fann Wong and Rui En, and shower criticisms on others. I feel a sense of deja vu while writing this post. I really do not know what made me draft this random post out, but yet i felt the urge to blog about it. I guess maybe its just the stress of the exams... and this youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FASfsmtl08&feature=related |
