Concluding post for 2009! In the office right now, severely lacking sleep. My brain obviously isnt functioning well, but yet i shall stubbornly write an entry to conclude Year 2009 I swear I wanted to write 2008 but anyway! The first six months was arduous and mildly torturous. Regimentation does kill off brain cells, and it was terribly draining to be working exercises after exercises. It did not help either that the daily regime does not deviate. On a positive note, I learnt about staff work, army intelligence and managing indefinite responsibilities. In Jan, I managed to experience Ms Taiwan and her cultures, people and delicacies for the very first time. Stepping into a foreign environment, solely for fun was exhilarating. Encountering the inclement weather wasnt exactly desirable, but it did provide a form of novelty. Admittedly, shopping/eating felt TOTALLY awesome. While bombarding my unit with my sudden disappearance (thanks to infinite leaves), I travelled to Bangkok with my brothers, KL for a dragonboat race and finally Taiwan for the second time. These trips made me realised how much travelling can expel boredom and dispel mundane from your life. WKWSCI Freshman Orientation Camp warrants the award of "best camp I've attended in my life". No exaggeration, and basically a mindblowing experience. The tricks, the friends and the games. Not forgetting Zohanna. Following this was D&D, where I made friends with a new bunch of funloving people. You. I read our emails and relished sweet memories of how we barged into each other's lives, and I'm glad I met you. From our first encounter at the playground in my highly drunkard state to Genting and eventually Phuketing, the journey has been honestly arduous. I wanted to give up numerous times, but the recollection of those happy moments hold me back. While its undeniably onerous to go through those setbacks and heartaches, I'm thankful I met you. :) Ok just before anyone dies of mushiness, I shall dedicate my concluding statement to my beloved friends, brothers and family, "Thank you for making my 2009 eventful and exultant. You guys brought out the blithe and vivacious self of mine, and all the celebrations (including my unforgettable 21st birthday) were indeed blissful and contenting." CHEERS and Happy New Year! Zuohan for his last post for the year 2009 and many more post ahead for 2010! :D |
