Equality

''We may all be in the same boat, but some of us have bigger cabins.''

GP was particularly interesting today. We had a discussion about equality, freedom and democracy.

Over the decades, equality has been fervently pursued, but it makes us wonder how much equality has to be allowed in order to satisfy these hungry and desperate individuals? We read a short story of a future where equality is the key ideology leading the nation, and amusingly none of us wanted to be part of that generation.

Why is that then these individuals desire freedom? A double edged sword and a definite paradox, since equality is a form of restriction as well. Why bother?

Oh well.. Something for us to comtemplate about. But a pretty cool discussion we had today.

Rather eventful schoolday, though all of us concussed by the end of Ashokan's lecture. His lessons are perpetually interminable. God. And he really has to try much harder in order to inflict any pain through his sarcastic remarks to the students.
